This weekend, it’s at Villa Park where it grabbing the headlines as Aston Villa entertained leaders Liverpool.
After less than 30 minutes played, the ball hit the net twice.
Both goals were checked by the new system but only one of them was awarded.
On 21 minutes, Villains winger Trezeguet gave his side a surprise lead when he got on the end of a free-kick from the left.
The Egyptian effectively held his line and got the ball past Alisson Becker, but the officials at Stockley Park decided to intervene.
A couple of Trezeguet’s team-mates were stood in an offside position but were not active.
Trezeguet wasn’t offside and the goal was correctly confirmed.
Liverpool hit back just before the half an hour mark when Roberto Firmino got on the end of Sadio Mane’s cross but the Brazilian was immediately flagged offside.
But as is protocol, referee Martin Atkinson allowed those at Stockley Park in London to have another look.
