The war of words between IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri and IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil shows no signs of slowing down, despite the government issuing warnings to the two bureaucrats to stop their public squabbling.
In the latest development in the war of words, Sindhuri has sent a notice to Roopa for allegedly making “false and defamatory posts” against her and warned of criminal proceedings if she does not issue an unconditional apology in writing within 24 hours.

IPS officer leaks private photos of IAS officer
This comes after Roopa IPS accused Sindhuri of corruption and also posted her private pictures on Facebook, alleging that she had shared them with three IAS officers in 2021 and 2022.
My complaint on corruption of Rohini sindhuri IAS, which is already now in public domain. Please don’t circulate wrong ones. And please bear with my silence, for, I will not be reacting to anything related to this. Report submitted to Govt. pic.twitter.com/qKEc4VsjZ4

Roopa claimed that Sindhuri had violated the service conduct rules by sending her pictures to male IAS officers.
Suicide of DK Ravi IAS
She had also raked up the suicide case of IAS officer DK Ravi in the state and questioned her why she did not block him from sending messages.
It was alleged that Ravi was in love with Sindhuri and ended his life for her.
IAS officer’s meeting with MLA
Roopa also posted another picture showing Sindhuri holding a meeting with JD(S) MLA SR Mahesh, who made corruption charges against her when she was posted in Mysuru in 2021.
Roopa questioned why an IAS officer would meet a politician and suggested that the two had struck a deal.
RTI activist claims having private photos of Roopa IPS
Wednesday saw another twist in the saga, with RTI activist Gangaraju claiming that he was in possession of a private photo of the IPS officer.
Earlier, an audio clip had emerged in which Roopa is purportedly heard talking to Gangaraju, in which she said that she requested the transfer of her husband, IAS officer Munish Moudgil, from the survey, settlement and land records department.
She accused her husband of sharing details of certain properties – accessible to him during his tenure as commissioner of the department – with Sindhuri.
Gangaraju had also advised Roopa that if she had any internal issues, she should sit with Rohini Sindhuri and sort it out.
On Wednesday, Gangaraju said that Roopa is assuming that he is supporting Sindhuri. “Why is she forcing me repeatedly to complain against Rohini? Provocation is a big crime,” he said.
Gangaraju further asked, being a woman, how can one send private pictures of another woman and provoke others to speak about it? “Even I have a photo of yours sent from your mobile very similar to photos released by you. Can I release it to the media? This is the difference between you and me. I got the photo yesterday,” he said.
IAS vs IPS reach court
On Tuesday, Sindhuri had filed a suit against 60 respondents, including Roopa, with the LXXIII Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge.
Her lawyer told the court that Roopa had obtained details from mobile phones illegally and released them in the public domain. The suit claimed that the IPS officer had released private photos of
Sindhuri on her Facebook page and also disclosed her mobile number.
Both officers transferred without posting
On Monday, the Karnataka government transferred D Roopa Moudgil, who served as the Managing Director at the Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited, and Rohini Sindhuri, who served as the Commissioner for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, without showing postings.
