Phat Fashions turns to Middle East

US fashion company Phat Frashions has entered the Middle Eastern market with three new store openings. The company says it plans to open 17 more freestanding stores in the region, as it profits from a retail surge in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The increased appeal of fashion in that region and the changing lifestyles make for a promising consumer market.

Phat Fashions, which owns fashion forward brands Phat Farm and Baby Phat, now has flagships in the Mall of Emirates, Deira City Centre and Marina Mall. Shoppers will find the complete selection of men’s, women’s and children’s wear available in Phat Farm and Baby Phat flaghip store in New York. “We are excited about bringing the world of Phat Fashions to the region,” Saif Saeed Ghayathi, chief executive of the local operating company, said in a press release. Phat Farm and Baby Phat were founded by husband-and-wife team Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons.
