Pogba, the France international, has long teased a move away from Old Trafford and serious doubts have been raised over his future with only one year remaining on his Red Devils contract.

United do have the option of triggering a one-year extension, but this hasn’t stopped Barcelona eyeing up a summer swoop for Pogba.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Camp Nou giants want to tempt Pogba – who has long been linked with Barca’s El Clasico rivals Real Madrid – to Spain, as they are somewhat strapped for cash and would love to sign such a talented player for free.

In fact, they could reach an agreement with Pogba as early as January, as he will then enter the final six months of his existing deal and is allowed to hold talks with other clubs.

Despite previously admitting his desire to play for Real Madrid, the report claims Pogba is also a big admirer of Barcelona and would be open to a switch next summer.
