The former Crystal Palace chairman and talkSPORT presenter took umbrage at Solskjaer’s post-match discussion of Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool, which ended Jurgen Klopp’s side’s incredible winning run.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring in the first half for the hosts, and United appeared to be well on the way for an impressive win against a remarkably lacklustre Reds outfit.

However, the equaliser was netted with only five minutes left on the clock, as Adam Lallana ghosted in at the far post to easily tap home Andy Robertson’s cross.

It was a poor goal to concede for United, who up to that point had defended resolutely and offered the visitors few opportunities to seriously test David de Gea in goal.

After the match, Solskjaer insisted the only reason his side conceded was because they ‘tired’ as the game wore on – resulting in a defensive mistake and Lallana’s opportunistic finish.

This excuse did not work for Jordan, however, who questioned tiredness as a reason for conceding when Liverpool were getting similarly fatigued as the Red Devils’ opponents.

Jordan told the Final Word: “At the end of the game of course they are going to be mentally tired and fatigued… but so are Liverpool.
