MOORHEAD, Minn.—The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team is set to host two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference duals this weekend. The Dragons host Minot State on Friday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. The next day, MSUM hosts Augustana at 3 p.m.
The weekend duals are a part of a four-match homestand for the Dragons. MSUM does not go on the road until Jan. 26 for a dual against Upper Iowa.
MSUM currently sits at 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC.

The Dragons are coming off a 24-15 dual loss to Southwest Minnesota State University last weekend. Senior Zach Scott improved to 14-9 at 141 with a 3-2 win over SMSU’s Robert Shields.
Sophomore Mason Schulz is 15-10 at 141 this season. Schulz was pinned by SMSU’s Justin Sampson last weekend.
Sophomore Evan Foster is 15-8 at 174 this season. Foster beat SMSU’s Hayden Voxland by a 5-2 decision.
Kris Nelson is in his 11th season as the MSUM head coach.

About Minot State
The Beavers are 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the NSIC. Minot State’s last win came against Montana State University-Northern 24-20. Against NSIC opponents, the Beavers lost a dual 20-19 against Upper Iowa and won a dual against UMary 19-16. Minot State is coached by former Dragon standout Evan Forde.
About Augustana
The Vikings are 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC this season. Augustana’s last win came in a dual against No. 17 Northern State, where they won 20-14. Augustana has defeated the No. 2, No. 23, and No. 17 teams in Division II this season. They are currently riding a four-dual win streak.
