Manchester United news: Ed Woodward reportedly contacts Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola over new contract for midfielder

The midfielder made no secret of his desire to leave Old Trafford in the summer, suggesting he was ready to pursue a ‘new challenge’.

He was heavily linked with Real Madrid as well as a move back to Serie A giants Juventus.

However, with the European transfer window now closed, United have got the World Cup winner until January at least.

Pogba, 26, has started all four of the Red Devils’ Premier League matches so far this season.

And according to L’Equipe via Metro, United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has got in touch with Pogba’s representative, super-agent Mino Raiola to ask if the player wants to extend his stay.
