The Rajasthan Police have arrested one person in connection with the alleged abduction and murder of two youths from the state, who were found dead inside a burnt car in Haryana’s Bhiwani.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Rinku Saini, a resident of Firozpur Jhirka in Haryana’s Nuh district.
Accused was a cow vigilante
Police said the 32-year-old, who worked as a cab driver, was also involved with a cow vigilante group.
Saini, along with four others — Anil, Srikant, Lokesh Singhla and Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar were named in the FIR registered at Gopalgarh police station over the abduction and murder of Junaid and Nasir, both residents of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.
They had gone missing on Wednesday and bodies were found inside a burnt Bolero SUV in Loharu in Bhiwani in Haryana Thursday morning.
Monu Manesar has a history of similar crimes
The prime accused in the case is Mohit alias Monu, the Gurugram district president of Bajrang Dal and a self-proclaimed cow protection team member. He was earlier named in an attempt to murder case registered at Pataudi police station in Gurugram on February 7.
The accused have been booked under sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 365 (kidnapping), 367 (grievously hurt after kidnapping) and 368 (wrongfully keeping in confinement) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

He also added that one of the victims, Junaid had five cases pertaining to cow smuggling against him.
Why wasn’t he arrested: family
His family, however, questioned the police’s claim and asked why Junaid was not arrested if he had cases against him.
“If he was a cow smuggler, then why police didn’t arrest him? When there were cases on Junaid, then why was he not caught earlier? Now when he is dead, they are saying that there was a case. He was residing here, but the police never came,” Ismail, Junaid’s cousin, said.
Monu claims innocence
Meanwhile, Monu, who is on the run, released a video claiming that he had no role in the double murder.
“I was in a Gurugram hotel when this incident occurred… and we have video. The two victims were unknown to me and I have no idea what happened to them. We are also investigating this issue on our end to find out the culprits,” he said in the video.
