Australia are not in good form having lost 2 Tests to India in a 4-match series. What’s worse is that many players are returning home midway through the series. Skipper Pat Cummins was the latest addition as he had to go back home to be with his mother who is not well.
Cummins was expected to return for the Indore Test on March 1, but his mother’s deteriorating health has forced him to stay back. Wishes have poured in from all quarters. The Barmy Army also shared a touching video via Twitter as a tribute to his mother Maria.
The video shows a man on trumpet playing a rendition of the song ‘Maria’ from the film West Side Story. It happened during the 3rd Test between England and New Zealand. Cummins’ mother recently entered palliative care.
