Ronda Rousey is currently serving a storyline 30-day suspension, as a result of her actions last week when she attacked WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

In reality, the suspension keeps her off television so WWE can get through Nia Jax’s obligatory rematch against Alexa Bliss at Extreme Rules without involving the former UFC fighter in the bout. It also allows the company to conserve Ronda’s dates, so that she’s not over-exposed in her first few months of in-ring competition.
According to PWInsider.com, the current plan is for Rousey to return to television on the July 16th WWE Raw in Buffalo, NY immediately following Extreme Rules.
It’s assumed that she will challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, likely against Alexa Bliss or some kind of triple threat scenario with both Bliss and Nia Jax. There has also been talk of doing something with Natalya Neidhart, who has been Ronda’s on-screen “best friend” since Natalya came to Raw in the Superstar Shakeup, after spending the last few years working as a heel.
