RMC report that Adrien Rabiot is unhappy with the amount of playing time that he has received at PSG since being punished for turning up late to a team meeting ahead of Le Classique against Marseille, in a game that he started on the bench for.
Before that incident occurred, Rabiot was on the cusp of signing a new contract with his childhood club – all that was left, according to his entourage, was some very final details.
But since the match at the Vélodrome, which PSG won 2-0 and during which Rabiot came on towards the end of the game, Rabiot has barely played, with 1 minute of game time earned in the match vs Lille. Even though he started against Monaco, the situation has gone cold again. Ironically, manager Thomas Tuchel was the one who initially convinced Rabiot to stay and sign a new deal, but now the German’s actions might force the French midfielder out of the club for free when his deal expires next summer.
