How to Multiply Your Wardrobe Outfits by 4x While Saving Money

Have you ever found yourself with a closet overstuffed with clothes but NOTHING to wear?

Your drawers can’t even close because you have so many clothes in them?

And then comes time for that formal dinner party, and you can’t even find anything decent to wear?

The Problem: Too many clothes and nothing to wear

The problem is that you have too many clothes and nothing to wear.

How ironic is that?

How does that happen?

Well, it’s because you have too many of the same type of clothes.

The Reason Why: You have too many of the same type of clothes

Either you have too many tshirts or too many sweaters or too many hoodies.

This happens to a lot of people.

They find a piece of clothing they like (a sweater or hoodie or pair of pants), so they buy a TON of it.

People buy clothes based on what they like or what they think they like. This results in a ton of clothes they don’t need.

Very rarely will you see people buy based on what they need.

The Solution: Expand your wardrobe by selecting different articles of clothing

Instead of buying clothes because you like them, buy clothes because you need them in your wardrobe.

Try to complete your wardrobe by buying different articles of clothing. (Below this article is a list of the different types/articles of clothing)

And this is how you multiply the number of outfits in your closet while saving money.

By putting together different articles of clothing.

You see, there is something that you should know.

What Happens When You Only Buy 2 Types of Clothing

Some people, when they shop for new clothes, they only shop within one or two different articles of clothing.

This means that they only shop for… let’s say… shirts and jeans.

They only shop for 2 items: shirts and jeans.

Just imagine…

What would your wardrobe look like if you only had tshirts and jeans in them?

23 different designs of shirts and 6 different pairs of jeans…

An overstuffed closet with nothing to wear!

You basically wear the same outfit everyday: a shirt and a pair of jeans! This is why you sometimes see people wearing the same thing over and over again, but really they just have a ton of the same types of clothes.

How to Be a Smart Stylist

What smart stylists do is that they create outfits with multiple different articles of clothing.

This means they not only have shirts and jeans…

Instead, they have maybe 2 sweaters, 1 jacket, and 3 pairs of shoes.

When you combine different articles of clothing, you essentially multiply the number of outfits you can wear!

How to Multiply Your Wardrobe Outfits

For example, let’s say you had 3 shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, and a pair of shoes.

Multiply them all together and you’ll get:

3 shirts x 2 jeans x 1 pair of shoes = 6 different outfits to wear

Whereas, let’s say you added a jacket to the mix:

2 jackets* x 3 shirts x 2 jeans x 1 pair of shoes = 12 different outfits to wear

*You can wear an outfit either with a jacket or without a jacket, so we counted this as 2 different types of jackets.

Just adding a jacket to your closet multiplies your wardrobe outfits by 2x! (You can wear each outfit either with or without a jacket).

And if you add 1 jacket and 1 blazer to you closet, you can multiply your wardrobe outfits by 4x!

So, to multiply the number of outfits you can create from your wardrobe, you simply have to get more of the different articles of clothing.

Here are lists of the different articles of clothing you can add to your wardrobe to multiply your outfits…
