Nearly a quarter of a century ago, Katharine Hamnett was the very first fashion designer awarded with the British Fashion Award. This year, presenter and journalist Mariella Frostrup will host the awards ceremony on Tuesday, 25th November at Lawrence Hall, Westminster.

Organised by the British Fashion Council and supported by Swarovski the evening is attended by over 500 industry leaders, celebrities, designers, retailers, models and journalists to celebrate the best of British fashion. The Awards are judged by a committee of fashion media, retailers and influencers, which is chaired by Lucy Yeomans, editor of Harper’s Bazaar.

On presenting the awards Mariella Frostrup said: “I am thrilled to be playing a part in this year’s British Fashion Awards which recognise both new talent and careers that have spanned a life-time. What better excuse to get dressed up than when you are among fashion’s elite.”
