David Moyes EXCLUSIVE: Former Manchester United manager quizzed on working with Ed Woodward and taking Red Devils job

Moyes moved to Old Trafford at the same time as Woodward, with the pair succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill respectively in the summer of 2013.

While the former was dismissed from his job after 10 miserable months, the much criticised Woodward remains in his position of power more than six years on from his appointment.

He has been blamed for United’s poor recruitment throughout his tenure, and it is believed he favours commercial interests over the club’s on-pitch performances.

This is in stark contrast to his predecessor Gill, who is widely lauded for the job he did at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2013.

But just what was it like to work alongside Woodward on a daily basis? Moyes experienced such a partnership for 10 months, and was quizzed on his former co-worker while co-hosting talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
