Dele Alli scored a late equaliser for Spurs to rescue a point at home to strugglers Watford.
The goal was checked by VAR for a potential handball committed by Alli in the build-up.
The goal was given but the big screens at the stadium said ‘No Goal’.
Play kicked-off though from the centre circle after the referee indicated that the goal had in fact been given.
There was huge confusion at the match with both fans and players not knowing what had gone on.
John Motson, commentating on the game for talkSPORT, described the incident as the ‘most confusing of the season so far’.

It was a legitimate goal but it appears the wrong messages was displayed on the screens at the stadium and those screens are controlled directly from Stockley Park, where VAR is run from.
A statement issued by the Premier League read: “Hawk-Eye apologises to Spurs and Watford fans for the confusion caused when an incorrect graphic was sent to the big screen.
“We are working together with PGMOL and the Premier League to understand the root cause of this problem and propose a series of measures to ensure it won’t happen again.”
Earlier in the match, Abdoulaye Doucoure had given Watford the lead after just seven minutes.
