In only the 29-year-old’s second appearance for his hometown club Brescia, he pulled a goal back in a 2-1 defeat to Napoli.
It was Balotelli’s first Serie A goal since netting for AC Milan in September 2015. But strikes from Dries Mertens and Kostas Manolas gave Napoli a hard-fought win over the newly-promoted side.
Balotelli made his debut in last week’s 2-1 loss to Serie A champions Juventus.
The former Liverpool striker joined Brescia on a free transfer after leaving Marseille earlier this summer.
