Selena Gomez's latest music video for "Look at Her Now" has proven to be an endless source of inspiration. From being the only breakup anthem we need this year to being a masterclass in wearing a two-tone ponytail to getting your best angles on an iPhone (yes, it was filmed on a phone). But it's her nails that are catching our attention now.
The singer's manicure, that makes a few subtle appearances throughout the video, are proof that French manicures can be glam. Nail artist to the stars Tom Bachik shared a pic of Gomez's nails to Instagram showing off the polished clear and white nails accessorized with carefully placed rhinestones. Despite lacking in color (the video was colorful enough on its own) the nails are eye catching thanks to the bejeweled detailing. The nails paired perfectly with Gomez's metallic body suit and smoky lids in the video.

Of course, the 27-year-old isn't the first (and definitely not the last) to bring back the beloved but outdated nail trend created in the '70s. It was spotted all over NYFW runways and it's impossible to scroll Instagram these days without seeing a model or celebrity wearing a colorful take on the style. (Ashley Graham and Bella Hadid are just a few of the A-listers to try out the style this year.)
"It was only a matter of time before, like bike shorts, fanny packs, and power suits, the French manicure would make a comeback," New York City-based nail artist Miss Pop previously told Allure. "[It] really celebrates the natural nail’s beauty — the crisp white tip and blushing nail bed. So it's no wonder nail artists like me are trying to breathe new life into it."
And there's no doubt, Gomez's jewel-encrusted nails are definitely gorgeous enough to give us life.
