Former OGC Nice manager Claude Puel could be announced as Southampton’s new boss as soon as today, according to L’Équipe.
Puel wants to bring Hatem Ben Arfa with him to the Premier League club – it is no longer a secret.
Claude Puel has in recent days already approached Ben Arfa about joining him with the Saints next season – HBA sees Puel as the man who turned his career around and it is for this reason that he is going to at least listen to what the Southampton representatives have to offer him, with discussions set to begin today between the two parties.
Leicester City also approached Ben Arfa 10 days ago, but the OGC Nice attacking midfielder at the moment remains closest to joining Spanish side Sevilla, who have offered the player a three year contract.
