RMC report that OGC Nice are in ongoing talks with former Sevilla boss Eduardo Berizzo about becoming the club’s new manager in the event that Lucien Favre leaves to take over at Borussia Dortmund.
Nice were already in discussions with Berizzo when they were looking to replace Claude Puel in 2016, with the former Marseille player and Celta Vigo manager having a good grasp of French and excited by the prospect of the Côte D’Azur lifestyle.
As a Plan B, Nice have taken a look at Peter Bosz, the Dutch manager who took Ajax to the Europa League final last year, before being appointed and swiftly sacked as Dortmund boss in 2017/18.
Yahoo Sport indicate that Willy Sagnol, who joined Bayern Munich as Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant manager last summer, is also in the running.
