Newly-promoted Brest looking at hiring Olivier Dall’Oglio or Christophe Pelissier

L’Équipe report this morning that Ligue 2 runners up Brest, who are losing their manager Jean-Marc Furlan who had decided not to extend despite winning promotion to Ligue 1 to instead stay in the French second division with Auxerre, have honed in on their two main targets to replace him.

They are out of contract coach Olivier Dall’Oglio (55) and Amiens boss Christophe Pelissier, who appears poised to leave the struggling French top flight side at the end of the campaign. Brest have yet to decide between the two, but are expected to do so imminent.

Dall’Oglio also has interest from other sides, but in Ligue 2. He has been approached by AS Nancy, who miraculously escaped relegation to the 3rd tier earlier this month thanks to Alain Perrin, with the latter coach deciding to retire at the end of this campaign. Dall’Oglio prefers his next move to be in France, but clubs in the Middle East have made enquiries as has an agent mandated by an African national team.
