Hoboken residents can use pools in Union City for free, including an Olympic-sized pool a few blocks from the 14th Street Viaduct. There is sometimes a line to use that pool.
Jersey City’s Pershing Field pool allows others for a fee.
Further north, Bergen County has opened the Darlington County Lake for daily swimming a few days early. Anyone can use the lake for a fee, including New Jersey and New York residents. There are lower rates for Bergen County residents (information is here).
