NORTHPORT, AL — The Northport City Council on Tuesday announced it is now accepting letters of interest and resumes from individuals qualified to fill the open District 5 seat on the council.

As Patch previously reported, the seat was vacated by former Council President Jeff Hogg, who stepped down with a little more than a year left on his unexpired term, which ends in August 2025.

Those interested in filling the seat must submit the necessary materials to City Administrator Glenda Webb by noon on Friday, March 22.
The candidates will then be interviewed by the Council.
