SHIRLEY, NY — A Planet Fitness gym is slated to open at the South Port Shopping Mall in Shirley in late 2024, a public relations rep for the company said Wednesday.
The rep did say that the company only had an estimated timeframe for the opening and it could open earlier, or the opening could be later due to unforeseen circumstances such as construction delays or other.
It was not immediately clear where in the shopping mall that the gym will open.

A rendering and virtual tour of the club is expected in the coming months.

The chain gym has other locations nearby in Patchogue, Rocky Point, Hampton Bays, and Riverhead.
