As reported by RMC Sport, Lyon manager Laurent Blanc left his press conference early today, ostensibly exasperated at questions regarding the club’s transfer business this past January window.
Arriving after club president Jean-Michel Aulas’ breakdown of the winter market, the manager would have preferred to answer questions about his struggling team’s upcoming match against Troyes.
The former Bordeaux, PSG and France coach initially looked to sweep aside questions about arrivals and departures, insisting that he was focusing on the players he had at his disposal for the remainder of the season.
In the face of repeated questions on Lyon’s window – which saw three arrivals (Dejan Lovren, Jeffinho and Amin Sarr) and six departures – Blanc indicated, with a smile, that he would leave if the journalists present did not change the topic. When, ten minutes later, a question about the match against Troyes finally came up, the manager got up and left, lamenting that it had taken that long for the subject to come up.
