AKIRA TOZAWA vs TONY NESE

The Premier Athlete quickly grounds Tozawa and mocks his chant to the fans, but the former Cruiserweight Champion changes the momentum, sending Tony Nese to the outside, but Nese moves away before Akira can follow up. Eventually, Akira leaps toward Nese but he catches him and slams him into the ring apron instead.

Tozawa again attempted to throw Nese out of the ring, but he smartly avoided it and used the ropes to send Akira into the mat as he followed it up by stamping on several of his limbs. Akira then used his pace to bring Nese down to the mat and looked to hit his finished until Nese moved, but Tozawa quickly changed his pace and dove through the ropes to take out Nese.

Nese scouts Tozawa but once again Akira manages to reverse, kicking Tony in the face to try set up his finisher but Nese lept to the top rope and knocked the mouthpiece out of Tozawa’s mouth he hit him that hard, however, Tozawa planted Nese face first on the mat from the top rope to hit his finish and pick up a big win.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT

Drake Maverick is backstage with Cedric Alexander with the Cruiserweight Champion wanting to know when he will face a new challenger. Alexander wants to face Hideo Itami as he hopes to build his legacy as the champion, claiming he has earned it and Maverick says he will consider the decision.

LIO RUSH DEBUTS

Former NXT Superstar, Lio Rush makes his debut on 205 Live this week, taking his time to remove all of his jewelry whilst his jobber opponent stands and waits patiently. Instead of shaking his hand, Rush slaps him in the face and he then displays his incredible speed to avoid several bits of offense.

Rush then rocks his opponent with a huge kick and takes to the top rope, hitting an unbelievable Frog Splash finish to pick up the victory in what was a very impressive debut.

Following his debut Rush says the future of the division is here, the 23-year-old piece of gold, claiming he can do things in the ring that people in the locker room can only dream of doing. He says they are good, but they are no Lio Rush and he promises that 205 Live is going to feel the Rush.

Backstage Renee Young catches up with Cedric Alexander and he says he doesn’t turn down a challenge and claims he is not intimidated by him in the least. Itami then appears and the two begin a pushing match until Maverick and officials appear with Maverick telling him to wait until next week.
