WWE started this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw with a moment of silence, and a 10-belt salute to the victims of the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. The entire Raw roster including commentators and several officials, including Triple H, stood on the stage throughout the emotional segment.

On the morning of Saturday, August 3rd a 21-year-old caucasian male, believed to have posted a white supremacist manifesto online prior to the incident, opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle in a crowded Walmart Supercenter in El Paso, killing 22 people and injuring another 24.
Less than 24 hours later, another young male gunman opened fire in a Dayton bar after being denied access, killing 9 people and injuring at least 27 others as well. He was shot by police officers on-scene within 30 seconds of opening fire.
