According to a new report from PWInsider.com, Trish Stratus told media in Toronto this weekend that her match against Charlotte Flair this Sunday at WWE SummerSlam will be the last of her legendary career.
The WWE Hall of Famer technically retired way back in 2006, but has returned for several one-off appearances and matches several times, including a six-person tag team match at WrestleMania XXVII, and the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match.
Stratus reportedly noted that it was unlikely she would ever have a better platform to officially retire once and for all, fighting arguably the top women’s wrestler in the world, in a marquee match at SummerSlam, in her hometown of Toronto.
