NEW YORK CITY — A 4-year-old boy fell to his death from the fourth floor of a Brooklyn apartment building, police said.
The boy’s death Monday at the Farragut Road building in East Flatbush remains under investigation, NYPD officials said.
How exactly the boy fell from the building near New York Avenue about 4 p.m. is still uncertain, police said.

Neighbors and witnesses described a bloody scene immediately after the fall, according to the New York Daily News. The boy appeared to have a severe head injury and broken legs, the report states.
Police said a medical examiner will determine the boy’s exact cause of death.
