Halle Bailey Has the Ultimate Beach Vacation Hair Right Now

For Halle Bailey, 2023 was the year of mermaid. She was the star of Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid and spent much of the summer promoting the film in oceanic outfits and hairstyles, including a jeweled scallop headpiece and intricate twisted side ponytail. Even though the movie premiere has come and gone, Bailey will forever be tied to Ariel, and the actor and singer was giving off big mermaid vibes on a recent beach vacation.

Bailey jetted off to Mexico with her baby son Halo and shared a handful of pics from her trip, including an extremely cute selfie with the baby, who is her absolute twin. However, it was her extra-long, hip-length mix of locs and curls that really caught our eye, with her locs transitioning into loose curls that fell all the way down to the top of her hips. A strapless pale yellow knit minidress and bronze manicure were the ideal match for this vacation vibe, and if these pics don't make you want to whip out your credit card and book a beach trip, what will?

As one typically does on vacation, Bailey wore minimal makeup in her pics, just fluffy lashes and a glossy berry red lip. On her Instagram Stories, she gave us a peek at the gorgeous white sand beach and bright blue ocean scenery, posing with her hair gathered in a high ponytail.

Though nothing is quite as good as being on vacation yourself, it's fun to see how your favorite celebs do beach trips and Euro trips alike come summertime. So far this year, we've seen Beyoncé taking on the Hamptons with her curls tied up in a ‘50s-style silk scarf and Sabrina Carpenter giving her signature full blonde blowout a break for a trip to France. I’m officially jealous.
