Grzegorz Krychowiak to PSG, deal imminent

Grzegorz Krychowiak is set to become Unai Emery’s first personally sanctioned signing as PSG manager after multiple sources reported tonight that the Polish international and defensive midfielder would join Les Parisiens from Sevilla.

PSG are set to pay the entirety of the player’s €45m release clause, with all parties very close to an agreement, according to France Football.

Stade de Reims will receive a portion of the transfer fee thanks to a sell-on clause in their deal with Sevilla when Krychowiak joined the La Liga outfit in 2014 for €5m.

Polish journalists go further. According to Przeglad Sportowy, the deal to bring Krychowiak to the French capital is done.

A journalist for L’Équipe, Romain Molina, claims that contacts between PSG and Krychowiak were initiated months ago, long before Emery was in the picture as the club’s new manager and that an English side have also made an offer for the player, but that Les Parisiens remain in front.
