PATCHOGUE, NY — A man with no recent address has been charged in connection with an apparent knifepoint robbery in Patchogue on Friday, Suffolk police said.
Anthony Cooper, 34, waved what appeared to be a knife and punched someone before swiping their cash on East Main Street at around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, according to police.
It is not clear if the person required medical attention.

He was charged with first-degree robbery and seventh-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
He entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment and his bail was set at $40,000 cash, $80,000 insured bond, and $20,0000 partially secured surety bond, court records show.

Bryan Candoborja, 18, of Patchogue struck a person multiple times in the face on Rider Avenue in Patchogue on Feb. 23 and made off with a 2020 Honda Accord, according to police.
The person was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
He was arrested six days later on Feb. 29 on Sunrise Service Road in Patchogue, according to police.
Another person was with Candoborja at the time of the incident, police said.
It was not immediately clear if the second person has been apprehended.
Candoborja has been charged with two counts of second-degree robbery.
His arraignment information was not available.

Shan Hussain, 20, stayed inside a Bowne Avenue home without the owner’s permission and slashed the tires of the owner’s Infiniti between Aug. 1 and Aug. 10, 2021, according to police.
He entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment and was released with no bail, court records show.
