This season’s theme is “Spring into Color,” which Clarke said serves as nature’s announcement of the arrival of spring, but also the celebration of the working farm’s cultivation of the colorful flowers.

“When you get up close and personal to the color, it’s powerful,” said Clarke, who noted that he expects it to be an extra colorful season.
“It’s colder now, but we’ve been just a touch warmer here in the fall, so the fields are germinating really well,” he told Patch. “The crop looks good. What we call ‘the stand,’ the ranunculus plantlets, is really uniform, and that’s beautiful to a farmer to have a uniform stand.”
A full slate of activities is planned for the upcoming season, including live music performances, workshops and wellness classes.
Other attractions include the American Flag of Flowers, artist gardens and aviaries, tractor wagon rides, a sweet pea maze, poinsettia display, Carlsbad Mining Company, Santa’s Playground and more.
“There’s a lot of fun and a lot of things to discover when you’re there that you’re not expecting, which makes it memorable,” Clarke said.
Ticket are available online only.
“Later in the season when it’s busier, we do sell out,” Clarke said. “Sometimes buying your ticket in advance assures that you get to visit.”
