Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Maccabi Haifa via a 7-2 scoreline in their fifth Champions League group-stage fixture on Tuesday evening.
Speaking to the media after the match, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi heaped praise on QSI (Qatar Sports Investments), declaring that he was proud of their project in the French capital. However, the president of the European Club Association (ECA) also revealed that it was too early to identify the club as the favourite to win the Champions League this season.
As quoted by RMC Sport, the director, following PSG’s 7-2 win over the Israeli side, told Canal+:
“It’s important for the team, it’s good for confidence and the future, before an important match next week. With QSI, we are very proud, we are here, and we continue our project. 7-2, it’s not bad (smiles).
“Winning the Champions League? We will play match after match. It’s very early to say today that we want to win the Champions League.”
