Another Leinster player needs surgery and has been ruled out for the rest of the season

LEINSTER HAVE LOST a third player to a season-ending injury with the news that prop Marty Moore will need keyhole surgery on his shoulder.

Moore damaged the labrum in his left shoulder during the Champions Cup defeat to Toulon, and a scan earlier this week confirmed that he will need an operation.

Leinster expect him to be sidelined for 12 weeks which leaves him facing a race to be ready for Ireland’s World Cup warm-up fixtures in August.

Fergus McFadden, who was ruled out this week with a thumb injury, had successful surgery on Wednesday morning while Kane Douglas is scheduled to have an operation today on the back injury that will keep him out of action for 12 weeks.
