Vince McMahon’s second attempt at professional football is set to return in 2020. The XFL is coming back and many WWE fans are surely hoping for a successful run this time around. Even though McMahon gave a valiant effort the first time, it wasn’t enough to keep the XFL afloat.

But as the countdown continues to 2020, details are beginning to come out. These details are surly making fans anxious to see what happens when the league goes live. Now it seems that a potential host city has been revealed.

According to a source in #WWE, the city of Seattle will be home to one of 8 XFL teams, to be announced by the @xfl2020 on December 5th, 2018. @FOXSports @espn @YahooSports @FanSided @barstoolsports @CBSSports @NBCSports @BleacherReport @PTI @alphaentllc

The only other rumored city to be involved besides Seattle is St. Louis, though neither has been confirmed at this time. The official announcement of which eight cities will get an XFL team is expected on December 5.

One of the major complaints agains the previous version of the XFL was that WWE was too largely involved. But that doesn’t seem to be the case this time, as Vince has created a second company, Alpha Entertainment, to act as owner of the league.
