Lewandowski’s 268th goal in the competition came following a defensive mix-up, with the 32-year-old taking full advantage to score his side’s third goal of the afternoon.

194 of those goals have come for Lewandowski’s current employers Bayern – with a further 74 coming for Borussia Dortmund.

It’s worth noting, however, that Lewandowski has reached that total in 345 appearances, 190 fewer than Fischer.

Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry was also on target for the German champions as Bayern extended their lead over RB Leipzig at the top of the table to five points.
