Keane, the former Manchester United midfielder, was left seething at the sight of his former side embracing some of the Liverpool team, just minutes before kick-off at Old Trafford.
Portuguese-speaking contingent Andreas Pereira and Fabinho were seen chatting, while Brazil team-mates Fimrino and Fred exchanged pleasantries, as did goalkeepers David de Gea and Alisson Becker.
“I’m disgusted with the players. You’re going to war, they’re hugging and kissing,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
