Football agent James Featherstone, who represents Chris Smalling and Garry Monk, charged over pub attack that left man needing hospital treatment

The incident is said to have take place at the Stamford Arms pub in the leafy village of Bowdon near Altrincham on March 8 and a man in his 50’s required medical treatment after an assault near the men’s toilet.

Featherstone, 39, is listed as the owner of Sports Agency Omni Sports on its website and among his clients are Sheffield Wednesday manager Garry Monk and Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, who is currently on loan at Roma.

Benjamin Cowgill, 38, has also been charged with section 18 wounding.

Featherstone is understood to have attended a voluntary interview after police released an image him along with the other suspect.
