Over the past few years the Gunners faced contract stand-offs with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey, with the former the only one of the trio staying at the Emirates after being offered a huge new deal.
Sanchez ended up moving to Man United while Ramsey left north London earlier this year to join Juventus on a free transfer.

Tottenham themselves have entered a period which is being defined by the rapidly expiring deals many of their key players have, notably Christian Eriksen, the midfielder, and defenders Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.
The aforementioned group all become free agents at the end of the season and they are expected to depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for pastures new.
Reports have claimed the three players are considering their futures having become frustrated by Spurs’ lack of silverware, and Mauricio Pochettino faces a huge rebuild next summer – if he is even still the club’s manager at that time.
