But, according to reports, Liverpool are now ready to offer Mane an improved deal less than a year later, as a reward for his brilliant form in their front-line.
The 27-year-old ended last season with 26 goals in all competitions and was joint-winner of the Premier League Golden Boot, alongside team-mate Mohamed Salah and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
He already has six goals in seven appearances since the start of the new campaign, affirming his status as one of Jurgen Klopp’s most important players.
