The Red Devils were beaten against the odds on Saturday as Jordan Ayew and Patrick van Aanholt fired past David de Gea.
Ayew’s goal came massively against the run of play in the first half and Daniel James thought he’d salvaged a point for United with his 89th minute equaliser, however Van Aanholt struck in added time.
Reflecting on the story of the match, Solskjaer told talkSPORT: “We dominated the first half an hour, we pinned them back, but we didn’t have that last little change of tempo or the quality in the last bit.

“And when you concede a goal from just a long kick through the middle and lose a header – that was the first time we lost a header really – and he’s clean through on goal.
“So we need to work on all aspects of the game.”
