Premier League transfer news: Harvey Elliot linked with summer move to Liverpool after failing to agree Fulham contract

The midfielder, who became the youngest Premier League player aged 16 years and 30 days in May, is yet to agree a new contract with the Cottagers.

Liverpool agree deal to sign Netherlands wonderkid Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle

The Reds are reportedly battling Barcelona, Real Madrid and RB Leipzig for the England Under-17 international’s signature.

And now, the Evening Standard claim Fulham ‘fear’ they will lose Elliott this summer.

Scott Parker’s side would get a huge compensation fee for their academy graduate if he is signed by Liverpool, but they’ll receive a significantly cheaper amount if he opts to move abroad.

Losing Elliott would be a blow for Fulham ahead of their first season back in the Championship.

Parker included Elliott in matchday squads against Everton, Bournemouth and Cardiff before handing him his senior debut at Wolves towards the back end of last season.

And the former Tottenham midfielder, who succeeded Claudio Ranieri in the Fulham dugout, has been full of praise for the youngster, who follows Liverpool trio Jordan Henderson, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino on Instagram.

Elliot also follows the official Liverpool account, and even recently started following Sepp van den Berg, who joined the Reds earlier this month to become their first summer signing.

Liverpool supporters noticed this, and believe a deal is imminent…

Describing Elliot, Fulham manager Parker has said: “He is a technically gifted football player. A special talent. He has got a naturalness about him, an ease.

“He is very clean with the ball, can handle the ball very well for someone so young.
