Single for Valentine’s Day? We feel you. If you don’t want to be coped up in your room watching Netflix all day, we have a couple of suggestions to make you enjoy Valentine’s Day on your own. Remember, you don’t need a man (or a woman) to make you feel special for that day. You yourself could do all that. So if you want to have fun without feeling the single awareness madness, check out our list of fun things to do for Valentine’s. By the end of the day, you won’t even remember that it’s Valentine’s Day and you’re a single pringle.
A spa day. Go to the spa; get a massage, a mani-pedi, a foot spa, a full body scrub, and a facial, whatever you want. Pamper yourself. You want to make yourself feel rejuvenated and alive, fresh and clean. For us, getting a full body scrub is like scrubbing all your troubles and worries away. So do that. Besides, you might even meet a few new friends at the spa.
50 Shades of Grey is showing at the cinemas. Hangout with a couple of your single friends and watch it. Everybody wants to watch that movie no matter how much they deny it. It’s because of the curiosity in you.
Bake the entire day and eat it all or share it with your neighbors, family or anybody. Baking is fun and therapeutic. Google some sweet recipes that you’d like to make. Cupcakes, a rainbow cake, cookies, brownies, muffins, whatever you prefer, really.
You can even go shopping! If you’ve saved up for a couple of dollars for a present for a certain ex, then spend it on yourself. Get new jeans, a new pair of shoes or that handbag you’ve been wanting in forever.
Get your adrenaline pumping by doing extreme and risky things. By the time you have a boyfriend, you’ll be able to tell him all the adventurous things you did alone for this Valentine’s Day. He’s going to love you for it. Nobody likes a weeping person on Valentine’s Day when you know there’s a lot of things to do in the world to make you feel alright.
Go to a comedy bar and laugh your heart out. It’s one of the things you can do instead crying and being all depressed about your cheating ex. You might even meet somebody at the comedy bar and get your dating life back on track.
Organize a battle of the sexes with your friends. Round up your coed friends and play boys versus girls game – Wii, bowling, air hockey, foosball, the list goes on.
While Valentine’s Day is all about spreading love, Volunteering is one way to spread the love faster. Volunteer at your local retirement home. It’s going to be fun.
If there’s this guy (or girl) that have been asking you out, then go out. It will be a nice first date to remember.
Lastly, you can spend Valentine’s Day with your family. It doesn’t matter if you’re just staying in or going out, but being with family is one of the most enjoying things you could ever do for the day. I’m sure they’ll be happy to spend the day with you as well. Your family will be supportive and will make you feel loved more than anybody. So go home, leave your apartment for the weekend and enjoy.
